RM200,000 of Swee-t handouts
The company donated RM200,000 to various charities at a gala dinner at One World Hotel recently.

"Our company was formed 50 years ago on Oct 16," said its chief executive officer John Toh Boon Chui.

"We are very happy to have reached this milestone and don't want to forget the less fortunate.

"So, we are donating RM200,000 to various organisations and charities in Johor, Kedah and Kuala Lumpur."

Guests were welcomed by a lion dance performance.

A three-piece Chinese instrumental band playing the pipa (Chinese lute), bamboo flute and guzheng (Chinese zither) kept them entertained during pre-dinner cocktails.

Besides the cheque presentation ceremony, children of various homes put up interesting performances during dinner. -- By Naveen Mathew Menon
