Bandar Sri Damansara residents fear the stray dogs in their neighbourhood will become more aggressive.

THE residents of Bandar Sri Damansara in Petaling Jaya have urged the local council to reduce the stray dog population in their neighbourhood.

They complained that the stray dogs might pose a danger, especially to children and the elderly.

Samantha Lee said stray dogs would usually be found in Jalan Meranti SD 13/3 and SD 13/4.

“Sometimes, the dogs chase people. I fear that the dogs may become more aggressive as their number increases.

“The council should catch the stray dogs to prevent any untoward incident.”

ACTIONLINE:

The Petaling Jaya City Council said a team would be sent to conduct checks and catch the stray dogs.

Its corporate communications deputy director, Abdul Hakim Khairuddin, said residents were advised to file complaints through the council’s Complain Unit by calling 03-7954 2020 or emailing  aduan@mbpj.gov.my
