LEXUS Malaysia, a division of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd, has previewed the new Lexus RX350L and NX300.

The new RX350L is priced at RM475,000 for Peninsular Malaysia private registration and excluding insurance.

Imported from Japan, the RX350L Luxury variant is powered by a 3.5-lire V6 petrol engine, with variable valve timing - intelligent wide (VVT-iW). With 289hp at 6,300rpm and 358Nm of torque between 4,600rpm and 4,700rpm, the engine is mated to a eight-speed computer-managed automatic transmission.

The RX350L offers three driving modes - Normal mode which provides an ideal everyday balance of performance and energy conservation, Sport S mode that puts an edge on powertrain responsiveness and the ECO mode, which operates the powertrain at its most efficient level.

For the first time in the RX’s 20-year model line† history, the RX350L can accommodate up to seven.

Even with an extra 110mm in overall length for the installation of the additional row of seats, the sleek profile of the RX350 has been maintained. At a glance, it looks identical to the two-row variant but the roof line has been changed over the rear portion of the vehicle.

The edge of the roof has extended slightly to the back and the angle of the rear window is steeper, providing comfortable headroom for the two occupants sitting in the third row’s full sized seats.

The RX350L is equipped with 20-inch wheels, LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, LED taillights, moon roof, smart card key, 12.3-inch screen, powered tailgate, wireless charger, semi-aniline leather and the three-zone air-conditioning system.

As for the NX300, Lexus Malaysia is offering four variants - Urban, Premium, F Sport and Hybrid, or NX300H. They are priced at RM311,900, RM329,800, RM387,900 and RM397,800, respectively.

All NX variants except for the NX 300H are powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, which produces 235hp at between 4,800rpm and 5,600rpm with 350 Nm of torque from 1,650rpm up to 4,000rpm.

For the NX300H, it has a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated engine coupled with two electric motors.

The equipment list includes the LC 500-inspired LED headlamps, Lexus’ signature grille, 18-inch wheels, panoramic glass roof for the Urban and F-Sport variants and moon roof for the Premium.

The NX300H and F-Sport variants comes with a 10.3-inch infotainment display with Mark Levinson audio system, while the Urban and Premium variants are fitted with an eight-inch display and† a standard audio unit.

All new models sold by Lexus Malaysia comes with a comprehensive five-year factory warranty with unlimited mileage. The NX300h also has an eight-year battery assurance programme for the hybrid battery pack.

Malaysians who are interested in the Lexus’ newest luxury crossovers can now place their bookings at all Lexus centres nationwide. Deliveries of the new Lexus RX350L and NX300 are expected to begin next month.
