A team from Sekolah Kebangsaan Sultan Mudzaffar Shah, Kedah, won the silver medal at the 28th International Innovation & Technology Exhibition 2017 (ITEX 2017) held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCCCC) recently.

Comprising Year Two students Wani Irdina, Putri Amisya, Muhammad Nurrojulul Mulha Al Fateh and Muhammad Azib Fariduddin, the team competed in the World Young Inventors Exhibition 2017 (WYIE 2017) category.

Their winning entry was a project on recycling heat generated from a candle to produce electricity.

A total of 1,000 inventions and exhibitors from 22 countries participated in ITEX 2017.

They included participants from Bahrain, China, Egypt, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Iran, South Korea, Kuwait, Oman, he Philippines, Poland, Qatar, Romania, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka , Thailand, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Vietnam.
