PUTRAJAYA: Curved TVs aren't novelties anymore – but curved display laptops? Now that's something new.

Acer Malaysia today unveiled its Predator 21 X gaming laptop to the public – the world's first laptop to offer a curved 21-inch IPS display (2560 x 1080 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate).

The Predator 21 X is taking Acer's brand position in gaming to a new level, with its showcase of advanced technology and never-before-seen innovation.

It operates with Windows 10 and is equipped with a 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphic cards and 64GB of memory.

The laptop is also equipped with four speakers, five system fans for advanced cooling and comes with a full-sized mechanical keyboard.

Acer Malaysia product manager Jeffrey Lai said the laptop retails for RM39,999 and is targeted at gaming enthusiasts who love collecting unique and exclusive items.

"There are only 300 units available worldwide, and Acer is making one unit extremely exclusive in Malaysia," he said.

Gamers who are serious about owning this innovative device can order it via email at ama.marcom@acer.com and will obtain the product on a first paid basis.

In conjunction with the launch, Acer Malaysia is also running a five-day roadshow at IOI City Mall here, from today to May 21. Shoppers who purchase any product during this event will walk away with various gifts, from shopping vouchers to wireless bluetooth earbuds and 1TB hard discs.
