KUALA LUMPUR: Director Mansor Akob today denied claims by actress Nur Afifah Nasir that the production had requested she be "extra nice" to her co-star Aliff Aziz to ensure smooth filming of the drama.

"There was no such directive nor request for her to do so," said the Izinkan Aku Mencintaimu director to the press when met at a filming location here in Bandar Tun Hussein Onn today.

He said that it could just be small talk among the cast and crew which he might not be aware of.

On Monday, Afifah, 24, said that the karaoke session was part of the plan mooted by the production to help encourage Aliff to give his full commitment towards the filming of the drama.

The following day, Aliff, 26, rubbished her claims as nonsensical.

"I was not aware of any karaoke outing being planned," insisted Mansor.

Aliff who was also present at the set today, said: "I believe many people are just tired of this issue which has been going on for a couple of weeks now.

"I've said my piece and apologised to everyone," he said.

Aliff's wife Dayang Nabella Awang Astillah, 23, who was also at the set were seen accompanied by several security personnel.

Afifah, who arrived at the set, accompanied by her boyfriend Wan Ariff Wan Azhar, her actor friend Hafreez Adam and a team of bodyguards.

She said everyone in the production only wanted to wrap up filming and she considered the issue closed.
