Proud to parade 12 of Mak Cun’s latest designs on the couture runway of New York last Friday, award-winning actress and director Erma Fatima shared few videos from the show on her Instagram two days ago.
Humbly acknowledging that she may not be the best, the 49-year-old artiste-turned-entrepreneur captioned the videos stating that she was proud of her feat.
“I may not be the best, nor the greatest, but I’m proud to be a Malaysian standing on this stage,” she said in her post.
Erma and her apparel label Mak Cun, which was inspired by her hit drama series of the same name, was one of the designers who participated at the recently concluded Couture Fashion Week New York held at the ballroom of Crowne Plaza Times Square.
She was invited to participate in the show as part of the Association of Bumiputera Women in Business and Profession (Peniagawati) delegation to New York.
Erma also brought her two sisters along. While she jokingly captioned a video with Datin Seri Umie Aida as her “sales girl” in New York, her other sister actress Betty Rahmad sang P. Ramlee’s songs onstage during the fashion show.
“The happiest moment was to share this stage with my sisters),” she wrote on her Instagram account.
