PETALING JAYA: A day after the 14th general election, many Netizens who were busy checking out news on their social media feeds, were amused to find a particular meme, titled PRU14 The Movie.
In it, the anonymous creator had painstakingly include photos of Malaysian artistes who would play the characters in the “film”.
One of them is a photo of popular actor Remy Ishak who is to play the “tall, dark and handsome” former Sports and Youth Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.
When asked if he would play the role should there be an offer, Remy just smiled and said he would not be able to deliver the role of the Rembau parliamentarian convincingly well.
“How am I going to do it if I am not confident of giving a superb delivery of such a character?” said the 36-year-old artiste when met after the launch of Media Prima Television Networks' Terima Kasih campaign here yesterday.
Remy also said that while he had heard many had compared him to KJ, he himself could not see any resemblance between them.
Meanwhile, the actor who is in the lead cast of the yet-to-be-screened film Pulang is currently in the midst of filming another film, also directed by Kabir Bhatia, Sangkar.
“For the time being, my focus is on this project,” he said.
Remy is one of the nine ambassadors for the Terima Kasih campaign, held in conjunction with Ramadan. Other celebrities include Amar Baharin, Amyra Rosli, Izzue Islam, Farah Nabilah and Puteri Aishah.
