KUALA LUMPUR: Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah again showed his maturity, overcoming technical issues from the final practice to notch 12th in Moto2 qualifying at the Aragon Motorcycle Grand Prix today.

The Petronas Raceline rider clocked a respectable one minute and 54.154 seconds, less than a second behind poleman Sam Lowes (1:53.207s), to secure a fourth row start for the race.

Hafizh, who is currently eighth in the overall Moto2 standings on 101 points, had struggled with handling issues in the the third practice in which he had finished 19th fastest (1:54.973s).

Moto3 rookies Khairul Idham Pawi and Adam Norrodin will, however, have to work hard to finish in the points tomorrow.

Khairul's (Honda Team Asia) 1:59.406s was only good for 23rd while Adam (Drive M7 SIC Racing) settled for 30th on 2:00.606s as both riders took time to adapt to the Motorland Aragon circuit.
