Akash Nandy finished a respectable 13th in the second race at the Yas Marina circuit today, crossing the line 20.467s behind winner Jake Hughes (DAMS) who completed the 14 lap race in 30:21.199s.

KUALA LUMPUR: GP2 and GP3 rookies Nabil Jeffri and Akash Nandy experienced contrasting fortunes at the final round in Abu Dhabi this weekend.

Akash finished a respectable 13th in the second race at the Yas Marina circuit today, crossing the line 20.467s behind winner Jake Hughes (DAMS) who completed the 14 lap race in 30:21.199s.

Akash, who drives for Jenzer Motorsports, had also placed 13th in the first race on Saturday.

Nabil came in 20th in the second GP2 race today, a distant 70.410s behind Alex Lynn (DAMS) who won in 41:36.580s (22 laps).

The Arden International driver did not complete the first race on Saturday after suffering engine failure only three laps in.

Prema Racing’s Pierre Gasly and Charles Leclrec of Art Grand Prix emerged the overall champions of GP2 and GP3 this season.
