KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak today chaired a special meeting together with the secretaries-general of the respective ministries at the Parliament building.

The meeting, which started at 3.50pm, were also attended by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa and Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamad Apandi Ali.

Also present were Armed Forces Chief General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

Earlier, the prime minister made a phone call to the Counsellor of the Malaysian Embassy in North Korea, Mohd Nor Azrin Md Zain.

Najib made the call -which lasted about two minutes - himself to get an update on the officials and staff of the Malaysian embassy in North Korea who had been barred from leaving Pyongyang since Tuesday.
