The Mini Seven is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder that produces 192hp and 280Nm of torque.

BMW Group Malaysia, the sole distributor of BMW and MINI cars in the country, has introduced the limited five-door MINI Seven Edition.

The MINI Seven Edition is created as a homage to the 1959 Austin Seven. The MINI Seven was resurrected in 2005 with three engine variants, high-end comfort fittings and an exclusive design.

“The heritage of the MINI Seven goes back to 1959 when the iconic car was first introduced to the world as the Austin Seven and the virtually identical Morris MINI Minor. It was only 10 years later in 1969 when production of the cars moved to the then new plant in Longbridge, Birmingham in the United Kingdom that the name MINI became the standard brand name.” said BMW managing director and chief executive officer Han Sang Yun in a statement.

With only 30 limited units available in Malaysia, the MINI Seven Edition comes in Lapisluxury Blue, which is exclusively available in the MINI Yours personalisation programme. The non-metallic finish is the most intensive blue tone ever applied on a MINI’s body.

Lapisluxury Blue’s striking brilliance, intensity and depth is derived from the highly-elaborate and technologically-sophisticated production processes.

The blue contrasts with the Melting Silver roof and exterior mirror caps, as well as a matching bonnet stripes.

The MINI Yours Spectre Grey colour on the 17-inch wheels is also exclusive to the MINI Seven. Other exclusive accessories include the LED headlights, LED daylight driving rings and LED fog lamps.

Two MINI Seven logo which is made up of the wordmark “Seven” and the number “7” can be found on the driver and passenger side door sill finishers.

As for the interior, the MINI Seven comes with Diamond Malt Brown fabric/leather finishing sports seats, and the “walknappa” leather hand-stitched seams steering wheel.

The MINI Seven is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder MINI TwinPower Turbo technology engine hooked to a six-speed Steptronic auto transmission with paddle shifters. It produces 192hp and 280Nm of torque.

BMW claims that MINI Seven can sprint from zero to 100kph in 6.8 seconds, with an average fuel consumption of 5.5 litres per 100km.

The MINI Seven comes equipped with keyless entry with push-to-start button, reverse camera, MINI driving modes, dynamic stability control, dynamic traction control, electronic differential lock control and the performance control — a system that counters any tendency to understeer prior to reaching the threshold level.

It also comes with the 8.8-inch Hi Res Navigation System Professional with a 3D design and various functions for navigation, office and multimedia.
