GEORGE TOWN: Several photos and a video clip of a couple -- the man resembling a DAP member of parliament while the woman bearing a striking likeness to a party member -- made its rounds on social media this afternoon.

The man resembles Bukit Bendera member of parliament Zairil Khir Johari while the woman bears an uncanny resemblance to Dyana Sofya, DAP's candidate in the Teluk Intan by-election in 2014.

One of the four photos show the couple kissing while the other depicting the woman drinking what appeared to be a glass of wine.

It is not known when and where the photos were taken.

This is the third time photos of the two have gone viral.

Zairil did not reply to phone calls and WhatsApp messages sent to him by the New Straits Times.

Dyana, in a Facebook posting this evening, said this was the third personal attack within two months.

"I assume the general elections must be near.

"No matter who is in the photos or videos in which I allegedly feature, these are major privacy intrusions into that person's life.

"I am sad that our politics culture has gone to this.

"I have no time to entertain this type of personal and vindictive attacks. I am focusing on my work and my service to the people, especially the people of Teluk Intan."

In October 2014, Zairil made headlines when photos of a man, resembling him, being affectionate with a woman, went viral. The woman was said to have resembled Dyana.

Early last month, two video clips emerged, one of a a man being embraced by a woman in a club and the other showing them hugging.
