I-CITY, the RM9 billion integrated township in the capital of Selangor, has received praises from the government for constantly coming up with new tourist attractions.
The City of Digital Lights, theme park, waterworld, snow walk, trick art museum, 5D cinema and Ferris Wheel are among the existing attractions in i-City, which is drawing close to 90,000 visitors a week.
The newest will be the second phase of the Red Carpet Wax Museum.
Envisioned by Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong, the executive chairman of i-Berhad, i-City is the adaptation of a digital city that is designed as an international business hub by day and lifestyle haven by night.
Strategically located along the Federal Highway with direct access, the freehold ultrapolis also houses data centres, residences, hotels, a performing arts centre and a 1.5 million sq ft shopping mall, which was jointly developed with Thailand’s Central Retail Group.
The hallmark of i-City will be a 42-storey tower that will be home to DoubleTree by Hilton i-City hotel and Hill10 Residences, which is set to be one of the most luxurious properties of its kind in Shah Alam.
DoubleTree by Hilton will occupy the ground floor up to Level 22 while Hill10 will occupy the upper floors from Level 22 to Level 43.
Construction has started on the tower, which will have a cantilever rooftop infinity pool.
The building, which will incorporate the latest advances in digital technology such as the Internet of Things to provide greater conveniences to both the guests and residents, is expected to be completed by 2020.
Lim Optimistic About Hill10 Residence’s Take-up
Lim told NST Property that although Hill10 Residence would be officially launched this month, the project had attracted a lot of interest from potential buyers and investors.
“There are only 200 exclusive suites in this project which will give owners the privilege of experiencing hotel living permanently, and we are talking about DoubleTree by Hilton standards.
“We are selling each unit starting from RM500,000, which is very reasonable as the units come fully furnished. We want to encourage home ownership and do expect a lot of first time buyers,” he said.
Lim also said I-Berhad had received a lot of interest from retirees who wanted to move into smaller homes.
Seamlessly extending the prestige of Hilton worldwide brand, Hill10 will be fully fitted and furnished with interior design concepts similar to the Hilton Worldwide standards.
Hill10 will have standard, deluxe and executive suites in one-bedroom, one-study room and one-bath as well as two-bedroom and two-bath configurations.
